Indian mobile phones reached 250 million units in 2016
According to reports, the Indian phone industry will grow by 4% in 2016 to 250 million units, of which 37% will come from the growth of smartphone users.
The average growth rate of Indian smartphones in the first three years was 32%.
CMR predicts that India’s 4G smartphone shipments will reach 50 million units in 2016.
Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio Infocomm, Idea Cellular and Vodafone will all drive demand for 4G smartphones.
Reliance Jio plans to have 100 million 4G users between 2016 and 2017.
It is expected that the expansion of 4G networks and the expansion of the market will be the main reasons behind this growth trend.
4G smartphones will continue to be the focus this year.
